Kernel upgrade/update, and menus are gone after reboot
Desctiption: After upgrading to a new kernel, all icons and menu are gone after rebooting. Noticed with nvidia-driver.
Workaround: Download nvidia-driver, if you dont have one in your home catalog. You may press Windows-key (if you got one) and launch opera/firefox from the appearing menu, then go to nvidia.com and download. Press Alt+Ctrl+F1 to access fullscreen terminal. Login. Type ' sudo killall gdm ' ..Go to your home catalog. Type:' sudo sh N* ' ..Make sure the driver configures your xorg.conf by agreeing. Then reboot by typing ' sudo reboot '
